Christi Meril of Dallas,Texas creates nonobjective/abstract paintings. Originally inspired by the colors and organic motion found in nature and art glass, her abstract artwork is filled with texture, color and movement. Christi creates with the intent that the composition of a painting will draw the viewer into the canvas through vivid color, depth and story. From personal experiences the artist believes that even though Life can give us pockets of darkness there is always Light to be found when we choose to seek it. It is Christi’s sincere desire that the art she creates adds optimism and abstract beauty wherever it is displayed. Her paintings have appeared locally in The Summer Colors Art Show/Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, ArtHouse Dallas, multiple Thrift Studios/Dwell with Dignity, Dallas, The Dallas Flea/w Sanctuary, Dallas, The Jewish Art Fest of Dallas, open shows at the 500X Gallery, Dallas, and have been sold in area storefronts. Additional works will be featured at the Level Ground Film & Art Festival in Nashville, TN and Christ the King’s Gallery Night in the Design/Gallery district of Dallas. Her work can be found locally at Unmistakably Molly, 4346 Lovers Lane, Dallas, and her home studio. She can also be found in private collections not only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area but also dotting the US from coast to coast. Christi is a native Texan and resides in Dallas, Texas.
