Rooted in Love
Rooted in Love is a monumental 72″ x 24″ mixed media sculpture that exemplifies the transformative power of contemporary art meeting sustainable materials. This extraordinary piece features Texas Pecan wood, meticulously hand-painted with vibrant concentric circles in acrylic paint and protected with water-based polyurethane. The centerpiece showcases a custom infinity neon mirror installation created in collaboration with Dallas neon artist Trent Atkinson, whose luminous yellow and turquoise infinity symbol creates an eternal glow within the organic form.
Part of the acclaimed “Reviving Giants: Nature | Form | Legacy” solo exhibition collection, this work represents the artist’s signature approach to multidimensional art, where centuries-old wood becomes a canvas for contemporary expression. The hypnotic circular patterns painted across the natural wood grain create a visual rhythm that speaks to cycles of growth, renewal, and the infinite connections within nature. The integrated neon element transforms the piece from static art into an immersive light sculpture, making it equally powerful in daylight and evening gallery settings.
The Texas Pecan substrate connects deeply to the artist’s Dallas roots while the infinity symbol speaks to universal themes of endless love, eternal cycles, and the continuous flow of creative energy. This museum-quality piece demonstrates technical mastery across multiple mediums while delivering an emotionally resonant message about our enduring connection to the natural world.
Currently featured in the artist’s solo exhibition at ALG Fine Art through June 2025, “Rooted in Love” represents a significant work from an emerging voice in contemporary environmental art.
